Biography
J. Anthony Sisto was raised in Denver, Colorado, and attended Regis Jesuit High School and Regis University. He wrote short stories as a child and always wanted to write a novel using his vivid imagination. His military service in the United States Navy helped inspire some of his characters. He currently resides in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife.
He served as a missile tech on board the USS Lafayette, SSBN 616, stationed in New London, Connecticut, and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He volunteered as a Volleyball coach at the YMCA and other organizations.
In addition to his military service and coaching, J. Anthony Sisto has been actively involved in various community service projects. His dedication to his craft and community has earned him recognition and respect among his peers.
Furthermore, his experiences in the Navy have inspired his characters and instilled in him a sense of discipline and resilience that he carries into his writing. His novels often reflect the themes of courage, loyalty, and the complexities of human nature, drawing from his own life experiences.
When searching for a new topic for a book, I encountered a highway sign that warned to be on the lookout for a white van suspected of human trafficking, which inspired the creation of "Slave Trade." The research was overwhelming and at times seemed to be too much. However, I am happy Slave Trade was published.
J. Anthony Sisto continues to write and is working on his next novel, which promises to be a thrilling adventure inspired by his time in the Navy and vivid imagination.
